We need development for our village. Sembulan is the strategic area for the economical and education centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. However, 'People of Sembulan Lama' doesn't want this land to be taken from any individual or company for their own business and benefits only.
Goverment need to be responsible if something happen to our land. Sembulan Lama is my grand grand grand....grandvillage. form 'nenek moyang' and now to my generation...I will protect this land.
Nowaday, goverment launch 2nd phase to give new appearence to the sembulan river. Before that, 1st phase are Harbour City. What about 3rd & 4th phase??? to remove all people in Sembulan???where we want to live???This is our land, our village..
"We 100% support Barisan Nasional, but we will go to opposition if something happen to this village", (Voice from the People of Sembulan) ....

Are the government will take over the place? Take down all the squatters house? Any latest news?
I've been living in sembulan since I was born. Hope it will stays there forever, except the filipino squatters.

I dont know...I dont have answer what's gonna be happen in Kg Sembulan Lama in 2012 or many years to come. I dont have idea...
What i know, Kg. Sembulan Lama devided by 2 group of land which is 'Town Lease (TL)' and Rezab Kampung'.
In 'Rezab Kampung' we got Bumiputera squatters, Filipino squatters (Ada IC ok), Filipino squatters (Tiada IC).
My Family and cousin are TL type is where we live now.TL got 2 type which is occupied by owner and renting to other people (Bumiputera and Filipino with IC and without).
Maybe, goverment will take over "Rezab Kampung'near river area after election 2012 on DBKK project under 'Beautification of Sembulan River'. So, goverment need consideration people(Mostly Bumiputera and Filipino with IC). live inside this area with proper negotiation...We dont have any latest news about TL area...
We hope Kg. Sembulan will stay forever and ever...We support and voted if goverment called Kg Sembulan is Kampung Warisan in KK...
